Welcome! I am an Assistant Professor of Public Affairs and Administration at the University of Electronic Science and Technology of China. I received my Ph.D. in political science from the University of Iowa in 2018, and was a Ballard & Seashore Fellow for Fall 2017. I completed a master’s degree in political science at National Chengchi University and a bachelor’s degree in public administration and policy at National Taipei University.
My research and teaching interests include political economy, political sociology, Chinese and East Asian politics, and political methodology. My current research centers on the reciprocal relationship between an authoritarian regime’s domestic governance and international competition. I examine a variety of related topics, covering institutions and political behavior, political participation, public opinion, monetary politics, financial politics, and interstate conflict and cooperation.
